Death is a hierarchical process, and it is necessary for groups such as jurists and physicians to clarify its achievable dimensions, define its standards, and apply it. The category of the soul and its relation to the body can be traced back to Mulla Sadra's theory of essential movement. On the other hand, understanding the moral and religious norms of new topics in medicine requires an explanation of death. Cryopreservation is a new method of medicine in our time, and this method of bodily preservation can be studied from various doctrinal, philosophical, legal and ethical aspects. One of the biggest challenges facing this emerging method is determining the boundary between life and death, because this process occurs after the patient is declared dead. The current study analyzed the information using the descriptive analytical method and by searching for the concept of death in Mullah Sadra's theory of death, which is a divine theory.

Because of his desire to eternity the problem of death is very important for human. Mulla Sadra transcendent philosophy founder, with the approval of previous philosopher’s definition of death, believes that death is the separation of the soul from the physical body and divides it to natural and sudden. This paper explains the nature of death and its variants and causes of death in view of Mulla Sadra and shows some of its Quranic roots. Also, we present criticisms about Mulla Sadra's division of death; some of which include lack of philosophical criterion for the existence of sudden death and there is no boundary between natural death and sudden death.

The problem of the relation between death and immortality on the meaning of life in the authorities of thinkers such as Tolstoy and Mulla Sadra has been considered as one of the fundamental issues. Once Tolstoy felt absurdity, decided to find a solution. After various trips and studying different Sciences, specially researching in lives of different groups of people, both nihilists and those who consider life meaningfully, came to a conclusion that immortality of human is essential to having meaningful life, otherwise happiness and meaningfulness of life would be hallucination, this conclusion is result of induction and study on people's lives not result of philosophical system. However, Mulla Sadra, according to his particular philosophical system which designed based on regular participles, proved that human being is physical created and spiritual survival, and soul and body have union relation. Also, soul impressed with moral virtues and obeyed shariat's orders, achieve spirituality, abstraction and immortality. Ultimate goal of human life is achieving the origin of being, and because the origin of being has no end, thus human’s immortality is required to traverse the road of life. Therefore, proving the world of grief and resurrection, Mulla Sadra implies that human traverse is infinite: and this interprataion of life and death not only isn’t trouble and meaningless, but also results in a dynamic, hopefully, calm and meaningful life.

The death and resurrection are among the fundamental problems of the philosophy of Mullā Sadrā. His view about the death has three important aspects. The first point is that the death is not same as nothing. This attitude is the important opposite view toward the view of material thinkers, who consider death as the end of life and action. Thus, accorrding to them, the life is absurd. In Sadra’s approach, this theory is not a pragmatic answer, but is a factual explanation. Another feature of his theory is that, itpresents new possibilities in this life, because considers the end of this life in the life after death. Therefore, unlike the materialist approaches, he never considers this life as end, but regardsas a means for suprior end. Also, in Mulla Sadra, death is not the cause of stoping, but serves as a means to development. The development starts from the growth of knowledge to attain the presence of God. These three elements not draw the picture of death as a terrible event, but as containing the meaning and the value of life.
