Meaning source model that was generated by Dr. Mohsenian Rad in the field of communication studies has been used by many professors and students and has been basis of some postgraduate theses. Semantics structure of this model has some problems regarding “essence of meaning” and “place of meaning” from perspective of transcendent wisdom. Using transcendent wisdom approach as well as considering cognitive sciences, this paper aims to criticize this structure that is paradigm basis of the model used by him. The current study is performed by analytical- documentary method and criticizes methodological origin of innovator’s thought (i.e. Positivism) from perspective of transcendent wisdom; consequently, Mohsenian Rad’ sneuropsychophysiologic paradigm, which is about presence of meaning in the form of protein compounds in the part of brain called hippocampus, is considered wrong from perspective of Sadra's wisdom; Although, this materialistic approach is in line with Greek peripatetic wisdom; but in transcendent wisdom approach, meaning exists in the immaterial aspects of human existence, and it does not exist in material part of human brain.
